Coordinator, Research EMEA

Sony Pictures Television EMEA Research team are responsible for supporting SPT's channels, Content Distribution, and International Production businesses, with market and audience based quantitative and qualitative research, across all territories for all television platforms.

This position plays a key role in delivering the departments' communication strategy and managing vendor payment relationships working with external companies based across the Europe Middle East and Africa region and Sony's internal Finance department.

Working with Sony's award-winning Research team, the position is based in the new Brunel Building at London Paddington. The role will connect the business to broad industry and behavioural trends and be exposed to projects and colleagues across the entire EMEA region. Collaborating with other Research colleagues in the region and other functions within SPT will be fundamental to success, ultimately ensuring research effectively delivered to the business.

The role will provide exposure to projects involving; consumer behaviour, landscape trends, linear and digital direct to consumer brands, transactional subscription and ad-funded models, in-region content productions and large content licensing agreements.

What you'll do:
• Manage external vendor payment relationships. Process payment invoices within Sony's internal Finance system. Manage tracking, and planning excel files working with the Vice President of Research.
• Curate and deliver communications newsletters via Sony Research's dedicated website portal. This includes sourcing content for regular newsletters from the team and working with the Director of Research on his regional Communications strategy.
• Regularly host a portion of the weekly team meeting designed to structure and record Research communication plans for the region. Help the team to be organised.
• Manage invites and agenda for regular team meetings.
• Support on submitting expense reports for the Vice President Research where needed.

What you have:
• Ideally some previous experience of market research or media organisation.
• Must have excellent organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Excel, Power Point, Word and Outlook is essential.
• Must be a strong team player with the ability to work independently.
• Passion for the film and television industry, particularly Hollywood movies and US TV series. A working knowledge of key viewing behaviour trends and major industry players would be a plus.
• Typically 1-5 years experience in a similar role with experience of the media industry, or related qualifications.
• Fluency in English is essential, other language from the EMEA region would be beneficial, but not a requirement.
