Riot's People team exists to help Rioters strategically manage Riot's greatest asset, its talent. As Director, HR Business Partner, reporting to our VP, People, you will support the primary teams within our newly formed and scaling Entertainment organization. You will partner with the President and their senior leadership teams. You will set and lead a talent strategy that is integrated into Riot's goals. You will also be responsible for directly and indirectly leading a cross-functional people team including HRBPs, recruitment, total rewards, learning & development, and diversity and inclusion. You will ensure the growth and scaling of our business by designing the organizations, building new capabilities, and enhancing our talent. You will play an important leadership role in driving collaboration and identifying synergies across the business areas. This will be accomplished through a partnership with the leadership teams and serving as an essential advisor for all things talent, culture, and partnership with the product teams.

Responsibilities:
• Be a strategic partner to the President and COO of Entertainment, advising them on their organizations, recruiting needs, and overall strategy
• Provide leadership in the development of human resource/people strategies that align with and support the strategic direction of Riot and the business pillars
• Contribute to Riot-wide and pillar strategy by helping client group leaders identify and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes
• Support Leaders in forecasting their recruiting pipeline requirements following the pillar or business strategy
• Establish a strategic, comprehensive approach to overall talent management, including workforce planning, recruiting, retention, talent assessment, succession planning, career, and professional development. Ensure talent pipelines exist at all levels within the organization but with a focus on senior leadership roles
• Review essential performance targets and their related talent effects with business leaders
• Identify and support cultural growth and change projects
• Provide advice and coaching to senior leaders and employees
• Maintain trusted relationships across the business to ensure that Riot's talent strategy and programs are tailored to and aligned with organizational needs of the business teams and across the organization
• Promote execution and enhancement of HR employee lifecycle processes, including executive coaching, Rioter engagement, organization design, workforce planning and succession management, people development, incentive planning, and change management
• Support recruiting efforts for Entertainment by partnering with the recruiting team to help with recruiting needs, prioritization, and progress against hiring plans
• Partner with D&I team to develop metrics and programs to promote a more inclusive work environment
• Use people analytics to inform people strategies, including Global Riot Survey (GRS) to identify engagement drivers and work with leaders, managers, and Rioters to manage their action plans
• Partner with the central Talent Management team to build organizational capability through the development of leadership teams (e.g. team effectiveness, goal development & agreement, manager capability)
• Assess and understand changing business and market trends and adjust HR strategy accordingly
• Be an essential member of the People Leadership team, representing the needs of your groups and partnering to develop enterprise strategies

Required Qualifications:
• 8+ years of experience in HR, including 5+ years in a leadership role
• Experience as the general manager of the human resources function, with broad expertise in all areas (e.g. recruiting, compensation, talent management) and can lead cross discipline teams
• Experience coaching, advising, and developing senior executives
• Experience developing compelling, data-driven business cases and building culturally-appropriate programs and plans designed to empower the team and influence senior leaders to act
• Experience supporting global business functions, working directly with cross-functional teams and new businesses
• Experience providing value to the enterprise, along with leaders and their departments through the HR Business Partner function
• Candid, bold and influential; a steward of values
• BA or BS degree

• Experience in the Entertainment industry especially Film/TV
• Advanced degree
