Manager, Technical Learning and Development

Most companies call it HR. At Electronic Arts, we are People Experience(PE). PE is a team of cultural stewards who carefully create talent strategies and offerings that directly affect our teams' experience and help our people achieve the most meaningful work of their careers.

The Learning, Engagement, Analytics and Performance (LEAP) team focuses on people development, organization effectiveness and an engaging employee experience. We are an interdisciplinary team helping EA not only be the industry leader but also a pioneer in new forms of digital entertainment. We are uniquely positioned to make lasting change in a creative environment. While we move fast, we also believe in having fun - we love games!

LEAP's vision: To accelerate people and organizational capability so EA can inspire the world to play.

As a member of the Talent Development Team, you will be a part of creating EA's overall talent development strategies, focusing on technical learning. You will lead enterprise-wide development of technical learning offerings and experiences for professionals such as game designers, artists, software engineers, and producers. You will partner with experts in our studios, PE partners, other learning professionals and external organizations to build relevant, practical, and fresh learning opportunities. You will manage the end-to-end learning lifecycle, from conception to execution.

Reasons you will love this position:
• You will work for an organization that loves to play games and is a leader in the digital entertainment space.
• You will have lots of autonomy to build the role based on your experience, as you work in a group (LEAP) that values the diversity of thought.
• The LEAP organization is well-respected and known for its positive impact on the business and our fun sub-culture.
• We believe in inclusion and psychological safety – and live it every day.

You will report to the Sr. Manager of Leadership Development based in Atlanta, Georgia.

Responsibilities
• Develop enterprise-wide technical learning strategy, with a focus on technical learning for disciplines such as Art, Engineering, Design and Analytics.
• Be the consultative learning expert to provide guidance, suggestions, and recommendations on the most impactful ways to provide content, including tools, processes, workshop, conferences, or newsletters.
• Build inclusive, collaborative relationships with all partners, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor.
• Develop or buy interactive learning programs in partnership with experts on game and central teams.
• Want to build business, operational, and cultural knowledge for all departments in your remit.
• Work with PE and other LEAP professionals to ensure offerings are aligned with EA learning and talent strategies and complement adjacent programs.
• Use data to make decisions on delivering the right content, the right way, at the right time.
• Create workplans to manage tasks, resources, risks, dependencies, and milestones.
• Manage change plans through a variety of channels.
• Manage all resources – time, dollars, and people.
• Seek ways to improve program offerings (using data from surveys, retrospectives, or industry trends).

Qualifications
• 7+ years of professional experience in talent development or related professions, with at least 3 years developing learning content that is technical.
• Experience developing strategy, designing, and managing learning programs.
• Influence and work with partners
• Understanding of what makes great development experiences and offerings.
• Experience working with team members at all levels in the organization.
• Balance of strategic and operational skills.
• A focus on high-quality work and details.
• Experience driving change efforts.
• Authentic; doesn't take self too seriously.
