The Data & Insights (D&I) team harnesses the power of data to deliver transformative insights and solutions to EA game teams and players. D&I teams are involved in every aspect of data, driving strategy and governance; building powerful data and AI applications; and developing personalization, experimentation, and analytics tools, and more. The Role
We are looking for a Senior Manager of Analytics to lead the data strategy, insight generation, and experimentation across two mobile titles currently in development. You will report to the Director of Analytics and manage a small team of analysts, helping guide early product decisions, player personalization efforts, and live service strategy through data.
This is a people leadership role with hands-on expectations. You will partner closely with product managers, game designers, and engineering leads to define the role of data in building player-first mobile experiences.
Key Responsibilities
• Hire, manage, mentor, and grow a team of analysts, creating a collaborative and high-impact team culture
• Lead the design and implementation of foundational data infrastructure, including telemetry, KPIs, and reporting for new titles
• Analyze behavioral data to identify and communicate opportunities to improve acquisition, engagement, retention, and monetization
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring data into the product development process and inform roadmap prioritization
• Guide the development and application of machine learning models to personalize player experiences and predict player behavior
• Define and execute experimentation strategies, including A/B testing and causal inference methods, to validate product changes and improve outcomes
• Evaluate and apply generative AI tools to improve team productivity and automate insight generation where appropriate
• Support data enablement efforts by promoting self-service tools and helping team members and partners ask better questions and apply data effectively
What you Bring
• 7+ years of experience in analytics or data science
• 2+ years of experience managing people, with a focus on performance development and team building
• Strong SQL skills and experience using Python and/or R for data analysis, modeling, or automation. Experience with BI tools such as Looker/Tabelau/PowerBI
• Deep understanding of statistical methods such as regression, classification, forecasting, and causal inference
• Experience applying machine learning techniques to real-world product or player problems
• Familiarity with experimentation design, execution, and interpretation (e.g., A/B and multivariate tests)
• Interest in applying generative AI to analytics workflows and increasing team leverage through automation
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex topics clearly to diverse audiences
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$130,800 - $183,000 CAD
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
