Main Purpose of the Role

Reporting to the Localization Testing Manager as Localization Linguistic Supervisor, you will shape and manage the Localization Testing Linguistic Experts team while growing it with the objective to ensure Localization quality meets EA standards for all our Localized contents from start to end in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
• You will restructure and improve the Linguistic Experts team, integrating it into the wider LT and Loc structure
• You will identify and exploit partnerships with other Localization functions beyond LT like Asset Loc, Content Management or Audio Artists. Foster an environment where the different functions work as One Team around shared goals and mutual trust.
• You will standardize and document the tasks and responsibilities of the team making them transparent to other Loc functions.
• You will ensure the Linguistic Experts team has the scalability the business requires and its future one.
• You will maximize workload predictability and accuracy, including overall volume, timing and sustainability.
• You will identify and also manage risks and dependencies, factoring both short-term and long-term consequences into mitigation plans.
• You will identify the Goals and implement the metrics aimed to measure productivity but also the performance quality. This will help establishing a meritocratic team culture.
• You will chase continue self and individuals' development in an evolving industry.
• You will encourage individual initiative, cultivate a creative environment where everyone feels empowered to express their opinions and ideas.
• You will pursue LOC quality standardization across languages throughout the whole Loc portfolio, working in the continuous improvement of quality measurement processes.
• You will interact at a senior level with all the relevant customers and partners.
• You will work with all of these partners at all levels to identify business development opportunities and increase the value EA Localization adds to our business.
• You will support the Loc transition towards real-time localization (MT), optimizing its implementation and minimizing its impact on the players' experience.

• You will foster an environment where, through transparent communication, care and follow-up, LT workers feel that Loc quality is a priority for Localization and EA and relevant feedback is actively listened to.

Skills Required
• Linguistic Specialized post-secondary degree/diploma (Philology/Translation)
or equivalent experience .
• +4 years of experience in Localization.
• +4 years of experience working in a multi-site/cultural team.
• Excellent industry knowledge and software development understanding for localization of videogames, especially of the Localization Testing and Asset Localization areas.
• You will have to be the Thinker, the Agent of Change and the Captain of the team. Direct or dotted-line people management experience required.
• Experience dealing with multiple partners to determine workflows aimed at optimizing quality. For that you will apply logic, and weigh up new different options when completing tasks.
• Understand localization processes and methodologies without forgetting the ones from other teams such as Publishing or Studio Partners.
• Problem solving and openness to new ideas
• Experience handling many tasks simultaneously with special focus on the little details and the quality of the projects.
• You will have to anticipate problems and develop new solutions.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills , required to negotiate and influence at all levels of the organization.
