Job Description
At Electronic Arts we have many examples of players creating content, whether it be a skateboard park in Skate or fantastical mansions in the Sims 4. The future will provide our players with more empowerment to imagine and create, with their imagination being the only limit.

We are looking for a Game Integrations Engineer III to help us integrate and showcase our technologies that power creation in our games. If you have experience with game development and integrating with services, we want to hear from you.

You will work with an experienced team that has collectively built and worked on games and backend services for more than two decades. You will work with multiple developers to integrate and showcase our services to our partners.

We strive to stay relevant in our development approaches and technology. Many of our software engineers are ''polyglots'' and strive in multiple environments.

As a Game integrations Engineer III reporting to the Integrations Technical Director, you will
• Create integration client experiences via sample and in-progress games that showcase our user-generated content capabilities.
• Architect and develop features in Unreal Engine that are performant, stable, and easy to extend.
• Utilize and expand on existing cloud-hosted services for game integrations
• Utilize and expand on our game SDKs that connect to our services
• Write clean, SOLID code that promotes our coding standards
• Contribute to our coding standards
• Author and review technical design documents and API specifications detailing software requirements
• Creatively blend security best practices and original techniques to keep user data secure and prevent cheating
• Support and troubleshoot inbound requests from studios and partners

Qualifications Please note that you do not need to qualify for all requirements to be considered. We encourage you to apply if you can meet most of the requirements and are comfortable opening a dialog to be considered.
• Bachelor/Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of hands-on programming experience with C++
• You've shipped or prototyped a game with Unreal Engine (and optionally with Unity). You unstand game architecture.
• Experience with the following languages and frameworks: C++, C#, TypeScript, Java/Kotlin, and Go
• You have led or contributed to a real-time multiplayer feature.
• Experience with terminal, bash, and command line interfaces
• Experience with automated testing.
• You have a desire to work with server engineers and designers to integrate their capabilities into games
• You have experience working in an Agile or Scrum environment
• Experience with software development design patterns.
• You're willing to iterate quickly and develop prototypes
• You have a desire to mentor and learn from your peers

Pluses
• You've worked on real-time multiplayer games
• You've shipped and maintained a framework library that has been utilized by partners
• You have experience building scalable services and deploying them to Kubernetes
• You have experience working with cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure, etc)

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the range and benefits for your specific location.

Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES
• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):

º $140,700 - $204,700 USD Annually
• New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):

º $125,300 - $204,700 USD Annually
• Jersey City, NJ :

º $164,800 - $204,700 USD Annually
• Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):

º $131,000 - $174,800 USD Annually
• Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):

º $125,300 - $198,100 USD Annually
• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):

º $115,100 - $161,200 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity. For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
