Job Description
Empowering players to create is an exciting future for the gaming industry. At Electronic Arts we have many examples of players creating content, whether it be a skateboard park in Skate or fantastical mansions in the Sims 4. The future definitely has our players being more empowered to create with their imagination being the only limit.

To enable more players to become creators, we are looking for a Development Director that will support and help create technology that powers creation. If you have experience with managing services for central teams and connecting multiple services together we want to hear from you.

You will work with an experienced team that has collectively built and worked on games and backend services for more than two decades. You will work with multiple developers to bring the next game services to life. And you will partner and communicate with other central and game teams to work together on common technology goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage a variety of disciplines including artists, designers, software engineers, QA, and other production staff.
• You are the keeper of the project schedule and help support the development team from one project phase to the next while ensuring quality, collaboration, and communication.
• You will partner with central business leaders and partner project teams to ensure that they are managing the project on time, top quality, and within budget.
• Build and evolve an effective team; identify resourcing needs, provide challenges and developmental opportunities to ensure that all employees reach their potential.
• Provide line management to employees across diverse skill sets within a single project team.
• Regular communication with the project team and coordinates dependencies with external partners.
• Establish and assign work from defined project goals; achieve project deliverables through managing a team at a project or sub-project level.
• Organize planning, scrum, and sprint retrospective sessions with their team in an Agile development framework.
• Assessment and mitigation of risks for areas of ownership.
• Partner with core project teams to manage scope and quality.
• Establish or maintain a project budget, determine task dependencies, resource requirements and assign tasks to team resources.
• You will work with a diverse staff across multiple time zones in a fully distributed model, making sure to foster an equitable, encouraging, and welcoming environment for all of our staff. We currently span 3 time zones across 3+ countries and are growing rapidly!

REQUIREMENTS
• 3-5+ years project management, program management, or team leadership experience, Software Development preferred
• Education requirement University degree Bachelors or equivalent professional experience
• Experience in various project management methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile
• Certified Scrum Master or other Scrum Master certification highly preferred
• Proficient with project budgeting, scope management, and other core Project/Program Management core concepts

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the range and benefits for your specific location.

Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES
• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):

º $140,700 - $204,700 USD Annually
• New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):

º $125,300 - $204,700 USD Annually
• Jersey City, NJ :

º $164,800 - $204,700 USD Annually
• Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):

º $131,000 - $174,800 USD Annually
• Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):

º $125,300 - $198,100 USD Annually
• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):

º $115,100 - $161,200 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity. For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
