Content Coordinator Editor
Are you passionate about the behind-the-scenes magic that brings compelling news content to life? WCPO, The E.W. Scripps Company ABC affiliate in Cincinnati, Ohio, is seeking a Content Coordinator/Editor to join our team. You'll manage the flow of stories from field to air across multiple platforms, ensuring our community receives timely, high-quality news coverage. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced newsroom environment and wants to play a crucial part in delivering the news that matters most to Cincinnati.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Monitor, communicate and traffic all incoming content.
• Collaborate with newsroom staff to achieve editorial objectives.
• Identify issues with incoming content, evaluate alternatives and implement solutions.
• Maintain storage and capacity of storage area network (SAN).
• Edit content for use on multiple platforms.
• Operate various news gathering equipment including but not limited to video editing equipment.
• Communicate consistently with newsroom staff regarding content, including but not limited to coordinating with field crews.
• Distribute content to other Scripps units.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
• BS/BA in related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience
• Generally, 5 +years of experience in related field preferred
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
• Working knowledge of the multitude of paths by which content is imported and exported
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Effective delegation and problem resolution skills
• Detail-oriented, organized and ability to work effectively under pressure
• Proficiency with computer based editing, including non-linear video editing software programs
