Job Description
Key responsibilities:
• Bring a focused approach to drive strategic execution of Business/Creative Council DEI roadmaps to accelerate change at a local level.
• Be accountable for leading and working with APAC leadership teams, in implementing the DEI agenda for APAC including as needed the creation of regional steerco/DEI Council.
• Partner with local leaders to manage the change and transformation needs required to implement our DEI approach
• Lead a DEI team in the region to ensure the implementation of impactful initiatives across WBD whilst aligning with global P&C priorities and monitor progress towards goals.
• Manage, track and ensure processes and protocols for DEI are implemented across the EMEA region through close engagement with P&C COEs and People Partners to embed DEI in all areas of our work.
• Lead on activation of DEI programmatic efforts to build leadership capability and advance talent (i.e. mentoring/coaching/sponsorship programs, inclusive leadership program, Fellows program etc.)
• Provide DEI consulting and support services to various parts of the business.
• Understand the local complexities across the market and work in partnership with regional colleagues to meet regulatory DEI requirements and market plans to meet local needs.
• Support our Business Resource Groups (BRGs) across APAC to enable them to operate successfully in alignment with the WBD DEI vision.
• Partner with and support the growth and development of ERGs/BRGs, uniting this community across APAC to advance belonging and inclusion for our people.
• Externally support work with key partners, stakeholders and suppliers to drive Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
• Support the development of content, programs and both on screen and off-screen DEI activity across the market, partnering with various stakeholders and Global DEI team
• Act as an adviser to local production teams as needed to ensure WBD productions are an environment where all talent feels included
• Work with WBD Communications teams to manage DEI campaigns and to ensure DEI is proactively communicated both internally and externally through engaging relevant social channels

The Essentials
• Experience of working in an international DEI function for a global organisation
• Experience in creating and delivering a strategy based on system level thinking with a data driven approach.
• Ability to navigate a matrixed organisation that is complex, nuanced and disparate in terms of legislative and regulatory environments, and cultural and societal norms, to deliver appropriate DEI activities
• Evidence of BRG growth strategies and governance frameworks
• Experience designing and leading employee facing programs and trainings from concept to launch
• Collaborating with Talent Acquisition Leaders and People and Culture Partners to increase representation, ensuring that hiring practices are bias free
• Establish key metrics to assess and measure results of DEI initiatives as well as progress against key commitments and the broader DEI strategy.
• Showcase territory commitments that are aligned to the global agenda and business goals, publicising these externally when appropriate
• Represent WBD at internal and external events, fostering strategic partnerships

About you
• Self-starter with ability to prioritise and respond accordingly in a fast-paced environment
• Great communicator who can build trust and strong working relationships with internal and external partners and vendors.
• Ability to be discreet and handle confidential information
• Willingness to continue learning to ensure understanding of current production DEI needs and DEI trends
• Passion to drive change, highly organised and strong strategy and execution capabilities.
• Strong analytical and numerical capability to manage DEI program budget
• Proven capability of diversity & inclusion, workplace culture and social impact

Desirable
• Additional language that serves a key market in APAC.
• Experience working within a Media/Content/Entertainment organisation that is undergoing significant business transformation.
• Familiarity with published literature and research on DEI in the workplace.
• Have experience in navigating a cross border/cross cultural organisation.
