Sports/News Video Editor (Part-Time/Temp)

At KING 5 we Stand for Truth. We are looking for a Part-Time Video Editor to help with a special weekly sports show. The initial assignment will last three months. Qualified candidates must be ready and able to create high quality content to meet sports deadlines. This is a temporary, union represented position.

Responsibilities: In This Role, You Will:
• Edit a variety of video elements including voice-overs, SOTS, packages, graphics and teases
• Collaborate with KING 5's award-winning team of photojournalists and sports journalists to create content for all platforms
• Operate non-linear edit systems, experience with Edius and Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, After Effects & Photoshop) is a plus
• Display a professional demeanor and work well/as a team player with news and sports staff
• Multi-task, handling editing assignments and capturing feeds and FTP material, while constantly monitoring quality control editing to scripts and producer notes
• Ability to create/edit material for on-air broadcast show and web, while meeting deadlines
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to complete editing weekly show
• Uphold personal integrity, teamwork, accountability, problem solving and a strong work ethic

Job Requirements:

Requirements:
• 1-3 years previous experience video editing, knowledge of EDIUS preferred
• Strong writing skills, both for digital and broadcast platforms
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field
• Fluency in a second language is a plus
