At KING 5 we Stand for Truth. We are looking for a News Video Editor to join our award-winning news team. Qualified candidates must be ready and able to create high quality content while meeting challenging news deadlines.

Responsibilities:
• Edit a variety of video elements including voice-overs, SOTS, packages, graphics, bold opens, and teases for on-air broadcasts and web
• Collaborate with KING 5's award-winning team of photojournalists and sports journalists to create content for all platforms
• Operate non-linear edit systems, experience with Edius and Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere, After Effects & Photoshop) is a plus
• Display a professional demeanor and work well/as a team player with news and sports staff
• Multi-task, handling editing assignments and capturing feeds and FTP material, while constantly monitoring quality control editing to scripts and producer notes
• Ability to create/edit material for on-air broadcast show and web, while meeting deadlines
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to complete editing weekly show
• Uphold personal integrity, teamwork, accountability, problem solving and a strong work ethic
Requirements
• 1-3 years previous experience video editing in a newsroom, knowledge of Edius
• Strong writing skills, both for digital and broadcast platforms
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field
• Fluency in a second language is a plus

Pay Range
$21.23 - $26.56 USD
