PROGRAM DETAILS

The Sony Pictures Entertainment Professional Trainee program offers a unique opportunity to work alongside the teams that come together to create movies, TV shows, and other great experiences. These paid assignments provide meaningful and productive work that allows you to build your resume, experience and develop your skills further. You will be provided with challenging tasks, real-world experience, valuable networking opportunities, and many educational and social opportunities. Trainees will work remotely with the potential of working in the office location at a later time. This position is from February through May 22nd working full-time hours, Monday – Friday.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

TriStar television is a female-leaning, IP-driven division of Sony Pictures Television. Its mission is to pursue projects that feature diverse, authentic characters and to champion underrepresented voices across cable and streaming platforms.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Rolling calls and scheduling
• Reading submissions and writing coverage
• Updating reports and tracking necessary information for television series in development
• Sitting in on and contributing to development meetings
• Reading projects in development and providing feedback and notes
• Variety of administrative and creative tasks, including covering for assistants when necessary

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor's degree, Masters in a relevant field of study or experience in relevant area
• Passion for premium television and desire to be in scripted television development
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Ability to multitask
• Proficient in MS office programs
• Ability to work independently and move tasks forward without constant direction
