Senior Manager, People (HR) Data & Analytics

People & Organization (Human Resources) at Sony Pictures Entertainment is undergoing significant technology and process transformation. We are optimizing our use of HR platforms including Workday, ServiceNow and Cornerstone, and creating streamlined ecosystems that enhance digital experience for all workers in the organization. This individual, reporting to the Executive Director, People Analytics & Insights, will leverage their technology and human resources data expertise to expand Sony Picture's people analytics capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of people-related measures, including HR metrics, and data analysis. They will lead our efforts in optimizing our workforce analytics and data processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and managing a robust data pipeline using Workday and Snowflake, forecasting future workforce needs, and automating data processes to improve efficiency and decision-making within the HR function. They will be proactive and anticipatory in approach, will exemplify a solution-oriented mindset, demonstrate the ability to balance multiple priorities, and work well in a diverse, fast-paced, team environment.

Key responsibilities:
• Implement a comprehensive people analytics data strategy that supports immediate business needs and expands as new insights are uncovered
• Identify and solve for key data gaps
• Work closely with the P&O Transformation team and the SPE Technology organization to ensure data architecture is designed in a thoughtful, consistent manner
• Support the team and technology partners to deliver of people analytics dashboards and models that present data in a meaningful and actionable framework for P&O and business leadership
• Integrate data from the employee sentiment collection process, including both annual and pulse surveys
• Lead data governance and define best practices for P&O data definition and management
• Over time, develop an environment to leverage data science techniques that can create and leverage predictive analytics to drive additional value
• Support the delivery of ad hoc analyses on P&O topics to drive strategic and tactical decision making and conducts trend analysis to measure ongoing results
• Collaborate with subject matter experts across P&O to promote data governance and stewardship, and to improve overall strategic and operational performance and insight
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on P&O technology projects as related to reporting and data pipelines.
• Lead the design, development, and management of a comprehensive data pipeline integrating Workday and Snowflake to ensure seamless data flow and accessibility for analytics purposes.
• Implement automation processes for data collection, processing, and reporting to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of people analytics outputs.
• Ensure data integrity and compliance with relevant data protection regulations and company policies throughout all analytics activities.

Skills & Qualifications:
• Ability to assess data needs, influence, collaborate, deliver, and partner among the team.
• Knowledge and/or experience in Workday, Service Now, Tableau, Qualtrics, and advanced Excel skills
• 5+ years of experience in HR analytics, data science, or a similar role
• Strong analytical skills, with experience in forecasting, predictive modeling, and data visualization.
• Proficiency in data process automation and knowledge of programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R.
• Familiarity with data privacy and protection regulations relevant to HR data.
• Experience in Snowflake preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field preferred

The anticipated base salary for this position is $139,000 to 174,000. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
