Product Manager – Film Acquisitions

Universal Sony Pictures Home Entertainment Australia (UNISPHE) is a Joint Venture between Universal Pictures and Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. We are Australia's leading home entertainment business distributing diverse physical & digital content across film, TV, family and documentaries from both Companies as well as our partners Paramount, eOne, Studio Canal, the BBC and Transmission Films.

We currently have an incredible opportunity for a Product Manager – Film Acquisitions to join our team! Working with the Senior Marketing Manager you will run the planning and execution of all marketing activity across the Universal and Sony Film Acquisition Portfolio, the largest Movie slate across the Industry! You will bring Films, across a wide range of genres, to market across Digital platforms and physical Retailers.

Main Activities / Key Responsibilities:
• Build and implement Marketing Plans for New Release titles including recommendation of releasing strategy for each title. Strategies to reflect excellent strategic commercial, customer and consumer focused thinking.
• Be responsible for the full product P&L, including management of marketing spend, purchase order process and reporting of title / Portfolio performance, as appropriate.
• Brief Media and Publicity Agencies, and other third party Suppliers, and work with all partners to deliver outstanding campaign activity.
• Handle all creative materials including packaging, advertising and POS, for responsible campaign activity.
• Effectively prepare for Commercial Planning Cycle meetings and deliver impactful presentations to the Business.
• Work closely with Sales and Digital Team members to maximise results across Portfolio including tailored marketing programs for key Accounts across both the Physical and Digital film landscape.
• Develop and maintain highly effective relationships with acquisitions partners, including proactive communication.
• Ensure ongoing self development.
• Undertake all other tasks as allocated.

Key Skills and Experience:
• Extensive experience in product marketing with strong ability to think creatively.
• Excellent understanding of marketing, media (especially Digital) and publicity, including the local entertainment landscape preferably.
• Excellent analytical skills, strong eye for business, and ability to use insight to develop and influence strategy.
• Ability to build and maintain excellent relationships and balance multiple third-parties.
• Excellent negotiation, influencing and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communications and presentation style.
• Excellent project management and organisation skills.
• Experience managing project P&L's to budget.
• Relevant qualification in marketing and/or a related field.

Performance Measures:
• Achievement of goals and objectives agreed with Senior Marketing Manager – Film Acquisitions.
• Achievement of Portfolio revenue and CTM objectives.
• Quality of campaigns delivered.
• 100% ownership of all timelines from start to finish and excellent attention to detail across all execution.
• Trusted to manage key internal and external relationships with minimal involvement from Manager.
• Embodies the Values, and exhibits the Behaviours, of our business.
