This Summer/Fall Trainee position is from May/June through December 13th and all candidates must be able to work 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday in the specified location. This position is ideal for recent graduates or entry-level talent interested in jump-starting their career in a particular field. A hybrid work structure may or may not be available.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

This position is part of the Operations Department within the Distribution Division.
Operations comprises Productions Services and Customer Operations teams. These teams oversee SPHE supply chain management from procurement and manufacturing of physical product (DVD, BD and 4K discs) to distribution to SPHE retail partners and in-store execution.

As a member of this organization, the Trainee will learn all aspects of Sony Pictures Home Entertainment (SPHE) physical distribution. Based on business needs, the Trainee will support any of these teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operations Support
• Product Placement Support: Assist with retail inventory planning, sales order distribution, and product delivery
• Exception Management: Out of stock prevention, backorder management, exception resolution, performance reporting
• Consumer Support: Assist with navigation/resolution of customer issues

Special Projects/Process Improvement/Issue Resolution
• Performs special projects and ad hoc analysis as requested by management or internal teams
• Supports innovation and process improvement opportunities within team and across functional areas

QUALIFICATIONS:

Core Competencies
• Adaptability, flexibility, and ability to learn new systems/databases
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal) with varying levels of management and with external customers
• Coordination and collaboration with internal departments as well as the ability to work independently
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines

Education & Experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics, Statistics or relevant field preferred

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience with retail landscape, Entertainment and/or Consumer Packaged Goods industry, market factors and strategies preferred

The anticipated base salary for this position is $27/hour. This role may also qualify for comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
