Job Description

Sony Pictures is looking for a creative, eager and energetic individual to join the Home Entertainment Creative Advertising team in the role of Coordinator, Creative Advertising. This position reports to the Director of Worldwide Creative Advertising and will be responsible for supporting all audio/visual projects, from the creative production, clearance, finishing and delivery standpoints, to support marketing efforts in Home Entertainment digital and physical distribution. This role will assist in the production and delivery of multiple marketing assets, such as trailers, TV/radio/online spots and sizzle reels. The position will collaborate with multiple cross-functional marketing and distribution teams. This is a fast-paced and high-volume environment, so organization and strong communication skills are a must.

Core Responsibilities

20% - Oversees SPHE re-purposed trailer production for Studio, SPC, SPWA and Catalog product. Reviews original materials for editorial and communicates instructions to editor. Vets approvals among Brand, Business Affairs and Legal teams. Handles delivery, QC scheduling and approval. Manages deadlines among working groups (Title Managers, Publicity Exclusives, Airlines, Digital Pre-Order). Tracks delivery from studio partners to ensure workflow timeline milestones and deadlines are achieved. Collaborates with Brand Team to execute planned trailering disc attachment, creates alphas within Sony system and associates with product profile.

20% - Supports Creative and Content teams with video production start/kick-off. Compiles and distributes assets needed to start production for Creative and Content leads, and vendors – sources elements, including feature components for picture and audio, VAM content and existing campaign elements. Creates screeners of existing campaign elements (spots, trailers and promotional content from first window) for Creative and Brand leads. Distributes and shares assets via Faspex and Sony systems, like Runner.

20% - Supports creative video finishing and delivery. Assists with QC review of SPHE TV spots, ensuring legal, tagging and VO versioning are correct. Manages final uploads to Sony systems and distributes final spots to various internal and external partners. Communicates creative asset availability to all studio partners. Maintains log of assigned ISCI codes ensuring codes are not duplicated, tracking spot finishing, versioning and tagging. Collects, logs and archives music cue sheets to all SPHE Creative productions.

15% - Manages incoming and outgoing raw materials and footage for EPK and VAM productions, including drive transfers, downloads and uploads. Archives footage in Sony systems. Distributes footage to Content managers and VAM vendors. Maintains database and metadata of content.

10% - Handles media submissions for all trailers and spots to attain MPAA and network approvals, and coordinates approval for higher product rated attachments to broader rated product. Advises Creative and Brand leads of any BS&P and MPAA issues in produced content.

10% - Fulfills production orders for finished marketing audio/visual materials for Marketing group and partners, includes duplication, dubs, screeners, links, encodes and transcodes.

5% - Miscellaneous ad hoc marketing and creative projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

This position normally requires education: Bachelor of Arts.

Experience: 1-2 years marketing/advertising in entertainment or related field, studio or agency experience

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Summarize the kinds and level of knowledge, skills and abilities your job requires.

Knowledge of:

MAC and Windows operating systems

MS Office

Digital file asset sharing and delivery systems

Digital video specs, formats and technologies

Experience working with video and editing programs a plus, such as Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut, and QuickTime Pro

Ability to:

Comprehend quality issues and problems related to audio/visual materials

Communicate effectively

Maintain accurate, timely schedules and inventory systems

Must be extremely organized and detail oriented

Must be able to work in fast paced environment, prioritize and multi-task

Must be a team player, fostering positive relationships, working well under pressure
