Account Executive, Ad Sales

The Account Executive will be responsible for maximizing advertising revenue for all Game Show Network properties, Sony Pictures Television (SPT) properties, third-party properties, and potential emerging platforms in the sale of advertising time to both existing and new clients.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to…
• Salesperson responsible for calling on advertising agencies and clients as identified by Senior Management
• Drive advertising sales demand across new and existing clients and agencies with a primary focus, but not limited to GSN, SPT's syndicated programs and third-party business.
• Understand client needs and prepare sales proposals and presentations utilizing audience data and consulting with internal resources as needed
• Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing and coordinate order processing through all phases of the sales and fulfillment process
• Becoming a content matter expert in every aspect of our business.
• From programming to marketing to research and analytics to better understand GSN's brand mission, the content we represent, and the audiences we seek to reach, in order to take this knowledge and share it with current and potential advertising partners and persuade them to partner with us.
• Partnering with assigned agencies, clients and territories in an effort to maximize and create sales revenue. Creating proactive sales pitches and respond to all requests for proposals in a timely and thorough manner. Developing new and maintaining existing relationships with key marketing/media decision makers.
• Negotiating and managing scatter and upfront business. Work with internal ad sales teams such as Pricing & Planning, Marketing & Integrations and Research to ensure you have the right tools, information and pricing in order to identify and pursue premium priced business as well as successfully represent and position GSN in the marketplace. You must be a team player and partner with GSN and Sony Television counterparts.
• Providing support and oversee daily activities of Ad Sales coordinators and Planners to ensure proper maintenance and stewardship of account list. Conduct regular team meetings to review all deals points, schedule changes, and approaching deadlines.

Education Qualifications:

Required Minimum: BA/BS Degree

Experience Qualifications:

Required Minimum:
• Minimum of 8 years sales experience, preferably in the TV/cable or media advertising space
• Strong knowledge of the TV/cable/digital streaming landscape
• Strong agency, client, and industry relationships
• Proven track record of success

The anticipated base salary for this position is $128,100 to $171,300. This role may also qualify for annual incentive and/or comprehensive benefits. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including without limitation, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location of the position.
