Technical Producer - Tech Foundations, Data

Job Description

As Technical Producers at Riot, we lead passionate technical teams to create products and experiences that want to achieve maximum developer and player value. We guide development, clear blockers, and push projects across the finish line while making sure that our teams are sustainable and have a great collaborative environment.

As a Technical Producer II in the Data space, you will partner with Engineering, Data Science, and Product to deliver data products that help us make the game fun for our players and make good data-empowered decisions. You will be the custodian of strong delivery processes internal to the team and ensure that collaboration with external teams runs smoothly. You will build and tweak work systems that feed into broader initiative processes, maintain execution rigor, and provide initiative leadership with visibility on complex deliverables that span multiple quarters. You will also ensure the team works at a sustainable pace and continuously improves. You will report to the League Data Central Delivery Lead.

Responsibilities
• Run day-to-day team production operations and development processes for the team
• Improve work systems, team performance metrics, and goal setting
• Assess team health and composition to ensure that the team is set up for success
• Continuously improve internal and external communication loops and rhythm
• Increase efficiency in how we do development through simplification and standardization
• Partner with the Engineering Manager, Technical Lead, and Product Lead to develop a vision and actionable development strategy for the team
• Create and contribute ideas to areas beyond your immediate ownership across different teams and disciplines

Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Producer, Product Manager, or Development Manager on medium to large technical teams
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience with strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and understanding of basic programming concepts
• Experience leading software engineering teams, setting up work systems, improving team effectiveness and health, and delivering projects
• Experience applying Agile and Lean development process and practices, and leading estimation and scoping exercises
• Knowledgeable in Jira use, configuration, and limitations
• Understand product management and how to navigate around constraints while finding balanced solutions

Desired Qualifications
• Experience working with teams building data products. I.e. Data Scientists, Data Engineers, etc.
• Experience in game development or a good understanding of how engineers and game designers build game features for a modern game

• (Los Angeles Only) Base salary range between $140,100.00 - $195,700.00 USD + incentive compensation + equity + 401K with company match + medical, dental, vision, and life insurance + short and long-term disability + open PTO.
