As a Manager, HR Business Partner, you will report to the Sr. Director, HRBP partner and you will guide a small team to provide HRBP support to your client groups. You will act as a strategic partner helping shape people strategies in ever evolving and growing businesses and functions. You will often play a role in large scale projects spanning multiple groups. You will also deploy People tools and programs ensuring global consistency and careful creation to make sure programs work for your population of Rioters. You will be the go-to resource for all things related to talent, ranging from performance management to total rewards. You will be a culture promoter and a deployer of tools and programs that turn Rioter potential into performance and results.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with business leaders, senior People team leaders & key stakeholders to understand business objectives and develop HR strategies that support the achievement of these goals..
• Utilize HR metrics and analytics to drive informed decision-making and provide insights to senior leadership.
• Influence and inform organization design with an eye towards effectiveness and long-term business objectives and cost control and develop change management plans for important organizational changes
• Drive performance management efforts, facilitating calibration sessions, group specific training, communications, and ensuring consistency with the process.
• Help develop forward-looking succession plans and other plans to address capability gaps and blockers as part of broader workforce planning.
• Collaborate with the compensation team to to maintain fair and competitive compensation and job leveling (within the teams you support your group and across Riot).
• Partner with L&D, D&I, performance management, comp, benefits and other COE teams to inform programs based on needs identified with your client groups and to support their rollout and efficacy.
• Provide guidance and support on employee relations issues, assisting with investigations, and being a first contact for initial leave of absence and accommodation related questions.
• Manage periodic audits of information systems records and work with disciplines and products to ensure data accuracy.
• Lead a small team of HRBP professionals; coach, guide and develop a team with emphasis on career, employee engagement, inclusion and a focus on well-being.
Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in an HR generalist/business partner or specialist role with progression.
• Experience managing, coaching, mentoring HR professionals
• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Organizational Design, or relevant field; or equivalent work experience.
• Excellent interpersonal, consulting, collaboration skills, and leadership experience.
• Experience in project management.
• Experience working with or supporting diverse communities.
Desired Qualifications:
• Experience supporting teams in entertainment, publishing, gaming, or tech companies.
• Understanding and experience with US and California labor laws.
• Experience supporting a technology or engineering discipline.

• (Los Angeles Only) Base salary range between $133,700.00 - $188,000.00 USD + incentive compensation + equity + 401K with company match + medical, dental, vision, and life insurance + short and long-term disability + open PTO.
