Accountants, analysts, and advisors comprise the core of the Finance discipline at Riot, and our work ensures Riot's offices and partners around the world are optimized for strength and speed -- financial and otherwise. As the Head of China Finance Operations, reporting to the Head of Finance and Government Relations, you will lead sourcing, procurement, and travel & expense operations for Riot China. You will lead the team and partner with the business to source vendors, purchase equipment, materials, supplies, and services to meet our daily operational needs. You will also oversee the daily operation of travel system and agency management. We are looking for an astute, analytical, relationship builder who is an experienced negotiator, dealmaker and a devoted mentor to their direct reports.

Responsibilities:
• Provide the leadership and strategy for the function, and build up a high-performance engagement model with China business pillars.
• Partners with central teams, local stakeholders and other supporting teams to drive efficiency, reach alignment and deliver value.
• Manage the procurement and reimbursement systems, and optimize the operations to provide better experiences to rioters.
• Lead team to work with deal owners to identify product and service requirements. Conduct competitive bidding, including RFx events, multiple bids or direct supplier negotiation. Obtain a clear understanding of Riot's needs and deal owners' requirements, then engage suitable suppliers.
• Maintain and optimize the local processes: PO approval, bidding, vendor sourcing.
• Lead regular supplier business reviews to assess supplier performance and compliance. Identify candidates for Riot's preferred suppliers list.
• Lead the travel & expense specialist and work with the Central Travel Team on:
• Passports and Visas
• Sourcing regional hotels for Riot's Annual Preferred Program
• Answering Rioter's inquiries and requests for assistance
• Manage the performance of travel agency to ensure compliance of travel policy, cost efficiency, and travel experience.
• Manage any/all direct reports following Riot's Manager expectations for training, growth development assistance, feedback and mentorship.
• Take ownership of special projects as assigned, which might include: help set and evaluate personal and team goals; evaluate current processes and implement improvements; encourage multi-departmental collaborative efforts; help design and run team development exercises.

Required Qualifications:
• 8+ years of previous buying experience or comparable skills, and experience of travel & expense management
• 5+ year experience in team management
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong written and verbal English

Desired Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business administration.
• Experience with procurement system, e.g., Coupa, and equivalent local systems.
• Strong PPT skills, can maintain complex spreadsheets and can navigate Google Suite.
