The Role
Our Enterprise function and its teams are responsible for creating the culture, systems, and the environment that allow Riot to be the best place for passionate team members to imagine and achieve the impossible for players. Enterprise collectively is made up of essential corporate teams like Finance, People, Legal, Corporate Affairs, IT and Infosec, D&I and Corp. Strategy that creates the ecosystem for Riot's different product pillars to operate and collaborate. To be effective, Enterprise Rioters must foster a trust forward culture to empower product pillars, act as true partners to product teams and create simple and customer centric systems that unlock collaboration across Riot.

Within Enterprise, the People team exists to attract and develop accomplished Rioters. We bring our expertise to all of those typical HR activities such as recruitment, on-boarding, training and development, diversity and inclusion, performance management, and total rewards so that all Rioters can flourish.

As Director, HRBP, you will support Rioters primarily located within our Asia offices in Korea, Hong Kong and Singapore. You will dual report into the Head of Enterprise, Asia (dotted) and VP, People (solid). You will work directly with senior leaders in the region along with global enterprise leadership to develop strategic talent plans aligned with Riot's business objectives. You will thoughtfully integrate essential elements across the Rioter (employee) lifecycle (recruitment, performance, development, compensation) and develop culturally-appropriate Rioter engagement and retention strategies.

At the onset of the role, you will help design and the implementation of the Asia hub, aligning closely with local leadership to develop a regional structure that tightly integrates with Riot's new operating model. On the People side, this will include building out new capabilities including standing up shared services in the region, centralizing the learning and organizational development efforts to partnering with the head of TA to bolster our efforts in the region.

Responsibilities:
• Partner with senior leaders in Asia, serving as the primary contact for the leadership team and actively coordinate with pillar and people leadership teams globally
• Maintain trusted relationships across the business to ensure that Riot's talent strategy and programs support our strategic goals and are aligned with what we value
• Promote execution of HR employee lifecycle processes across client groups, including executive coaching, rioter engagement, organization design, workforce planning and succession management, people development, compensation planning, and communications and change management
• Encourage global consistency of people programs and workforce management through active partnership with local teams
• Manage overall talent acquisition efforts by partnering with the recruiting team to help with talent needs, prioritization, and progress against hiring plans
• Partner with D&I leadership to implement global programs and develop local plans aligned with the overall strategy
• Use people analytics to inform people strategies, including Global Riot Survey (GRS) to identify engagement drivers and work with leaders, managers, and rioters to manage their action plans
• Partner with the central Talent Management team to build organizational capability through the development of leadership teams (e.g. team effectiveness, goal development and agreement, manager capability)
• Assess and understand changing business and market trends and adjust HR strategy accordingly
• Manage a team of global HR business partners, ensuring that they have a high level of business insight and achieve high-quality results

Required Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in HR, including 4+ years in a global leadership role
• Experience as the general manager of the human resources function, with broad expertise in all areas (e.g. talent acquisition, compensation) and can lead cross discipline teams across multiple countries
• Experience advising and directly supporting senior executives across multiple functions with a consultative style
• Experience developing compelling, data-driven business cases and building culturally-appropriate programs and plans designed to empower the team and influence senior leaders to act
• Experience in the entertainment and creative space, working directly with creative and production teams
• BA or BS degree
• Ability to travel regularly to offices within region to local offices and LA office
