Position - Voice Designer
Haven Studio's Voice Designer will design and implement all voice-related content in our recently announced Fairgame$ title from conception to completion. You will work closely with Audio, Design and Production, to ensure that we achieve AAA quality voice content.
Reporting:
The Voice Designer will report to a Haven Producer.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Prepare and develop all voice-related content for our game
• Collaborate with the narrative and audio directors to develop the voice aesthetics and systems
• Plan, schedule, and attend voice recording sessions according to project milestones
• Work closely with stakeholders to ensure the voice design of the game is fully known, documented, and realized throughout development
• Participate in creating and organizing voice-related content in the voice database structure and pipeline
• Implement, organize, and maintain content and structure in proprietary voice database applications
• Carry out post-production of voice-related content as needed
• Manage and implement voice-related assets into the sound and game engine
• Liaise with localization teams on voice content in all specified languages
• Collaborate with various outsourcers for casting, recording and post production.
• Debug voice-related content in the game to ensure final product quality
Minimum Qualifications
• College degree in Music, Sound, or relevant industry work experience
• Ideally 1+ year of game design experience or associated industry experience
• Experience building and organizing voice-content pipelines
• Experience casting, recording, editing voice talent, and providing voice direction
• Experience working with voice-related content for digital media
• Experience using a variety of audio middleware (Wwise, etc.) applications/pipelines
• Knowledge of audio processing and software (Reaper, ProTools, Izotope RX, etc.) for processing voice-related content, adding special effects, and enforcing loudness standards
• Demonstrated ability to problem-solve effectively and produce timely project results
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Must have a keen understanding of game audio systems and a passion to improve the quality of the end-user experience
