Supervisor: Director, Family & Community Learning, PBS KIDS

Position Overview:

PBS KIDS is looking for a part-time Senior Coordinator to support a grant-funded initiative. Under the direction of the Director, Family & Community Engagement, the Senior Coordinator will be responsible for managing all aspects of a multi-stage fulfillment program for PBS member stations.

The individual's responsibilities will be a combination of operations analysis and management, communicating with various stakeholders, content review, and administrative tasks. The candidate will be responsible for managing and expanding a fulfillment program for member stations, that distributes bundled PBS KIDS learning resources to families and children in under-resourced communities across the country. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex, multifaceted projects and working closely with a diverse range of collaborators. Part-time hours average to 10 hours per week, and may range from 5 to 20 hours.

Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Managing and organizing a data system that tracks inventory, sales and revenue of bundled resource kits (including printables, table-top game pieces, handouts, graphics, and books)

• Streamlining, liaising and troubleshooting operations with printing and sourcing vendors and member stations

• Scoping new and expanded learning resource kits, including analyzing and recommending printing, sourcing and pricing options and forecasting inventory needs

• Managing reviewing and proofing printed materials that align with the PBS KIDS brand and funder guidelines

• Build efficiencies with administrative support, tools and processes for knowledge management; drafting agreements and managing invoices; and accessibility considerations for PBS platforms

• Drafting reports and presentations for member station community, producers and other stakeholders

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements for success:
• At least 3 years of operations and/or administrative experience or equivalent in a fast-paced environment

• Experience with Excel/VBA and/or other data analysis and management platforms and systems

• Associate degree in business, communications or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

• An interest in early learning engagement for children ages 2-8, intergenerational learning, and learning goals of literacy, STEM, and social emotional learning including collaboration, critical thinking, creativity and communication

• A passion and keen eye for applying equitable principles across programming and processes

• Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks

• Customer Service orientation and strong interpersonal skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Spanish language skills a plus

• Discretion with regard to confidential information

• Ability to take initiative to solve projects

• Mastery of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint is a must

• Familiarity with standard office equipment

• Ability to work comfortably, confidently, and productively to meet deadlines

• Interest in Public Media or multiplatform content distribution

• Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccination by date of hire to be considered. Proof of vaccination required.
