Job Summary: The Manager, Social Media will support the production, communications & marketing efforts for Rangers Sports Network. This position requires a highly organized individual with a technical skillset, strong understanding of baseball and excellent written and verbal communication skills. The position is heavily focused on driving content and RSN viewership while providing a fan-friendly experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
• The Manager, Social Media is responsible for the communications, marketing, graphic design, and fan engagement for Rangers Sports Network
• The role will require a master communicator to collaborate with key stakeholders, both internal and external
• Proactively generate ways to promote Rangers Sports Network content and the RSN brand via digital media, traditional media, grassroots participation, etc
• Manage the Rangers Sports Network digital campaigns, social media, website, and email marketing
• Create and produce graphics for use in various formats
• Coordinate posts with all internal and external stakeholders to effectively promote events
• Collaborate, create, implement, and manage an annual social media plan
• Manage the day-to-day execution of social media campaigns
• Adhere to schedules, budgets, asset testing, and all project details to ensure business units are working toward successful campaign execution
• Work with leadership team on final deliverables before they are distributed, ensuring all formatting aesthetics, and content are in-line with company standards and expectations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• Outstanding communication, copy editing, and writing skills
• Previous experience in overseeing social media accounts on a corporate level
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
• Motivated self-starter
• Ability to interact with all levels of staff including upper management
• Strong customer service and networking skills
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the baseball schedule
• Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic
