Part-Time SteadiCam Operator
Do you love cameras and video, and think it would be a fun job to operate a SteadiCam and make local morning newscasts more interesting, creative, and fun to watch?
FOX31 in Denver has the perfect television job for you. We're looking for someone creative to operate our Steadicam for morning newscasts.
The ideal candidate would ''wear'' our Steadicam from every morning Monday to Friday for several hours and work with producers, directors, anchors, and reporters to create interesting shots to enhance the newscast's production value.
Requirements:
• Must be able to wear a SteadiCam rig and camera – total of about 15-20 lbs – for extended periods
• Good communication skills
• Prior background and experience with cameras and/or video equipment helpful and not required
• Ability to work flexible early morning hours
• Operate robotic cameras during newscasts, cut-ins and any other production shoots – also check cameras in studios to be sure they are functional and in the correct place.
• Run audio for newscasts – including assigning mics and IFBs for talent, checking and changing batteries for the mics/ifbs, confirming usable audio for live shots and talent.
• Operate prompter during newscasts and being sure they are operational before the newscasts.
• Checking studio lights and alerting engineering to any lights that are not functional.
• Be able to fill in on other days as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
Compensation: $15.87/hr.
