JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX News Media is actively seeking a competent and highly skilled Director of Bureau & Field Engineering to join our dynamic team. As the Director, you will be involved in our field productions, breaking news coverage, and overall field engineering. The Director is responsible for handling logistics for large events, delegating and communicating with our team, bureau chiefs, and the production department.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Hands-on experience with Ku uplinking and flyaway operation
• Proficiency in TCP/IP and foundational computer networking (MAC and PC)
• Comprehensive understanding of video streaming platforms-Haivision & LiveU
• Demonstrated ability to travel and participate in Zoom/conference calls instantly-be it holidays or weekends
• Collaborate with bureau chiefs to manage and streamline operations at all Fox Bureaus-international and domestic
• Contribute toward annual CapX budget and project planning
• Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of field and bureau equipment
• Collaborate on establishing and implementing training and operational procedures

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• A Bachelor's degree in engineering, broadcasting, or a related field of study is preferred, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years' experience in ENG operations and field engineering
• Willingness to work a variety of shifts including holidays, weekends, overnights
• Flexibility to travel at a moment's notice
• Experience in adverse working conditions in the field
• Preparedness to endure long working hours, stay stationary for extended periods, and comfortably lift weights between 30-50 lbs.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $161,500.00-200,000.00 annually for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
