Do you love all things sports? Are you an engaging sideline reporter and commanding in-studio anchor? Apply now! WATE has an immediate opening for a Sports Reporter/MMJ to help us cover The University of Tennessee Volunteers; college teams; and local school sports. This is a full-time staff position.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute enterprise content on a consistent basis

Writes stories for the web and Digital platforms

Build and maintain sources with Knoxville area professional, college and high school teams

Write and produce sportscasts; fill-in anchor sports segments during newscasts

Work collaboratively with everyone in the sports department and newsroom

Requirements

At least two years' on-air experience

Shoot, write and edit packages and vosots

Exceptional live skills in the field and studio

Adobe Premiere experience and video camera/photography skills

Creative writing

Ability to carry 25-30 pounds of equipment

Knowledge of newsgathering/First Amendment law and media ethics

Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
