About Us:
This role will report to the EVP, Inclusion – Talent & Content for NBCUniversal and will oversee talent engagement and outreach for a fast-paced, rapidly evolving department covering Film, TV, and Streaming. Candidate will work closely with EVP and will play an important role in expanding the department's efforts regarding NBCU' workforce culture initiatives and internal and external partnerships including but not limited to employee resource groups (ERGs), cultural organizations and film festivals with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI).

First established in 2017 as a groundbreaking diversity and inclusion department for the feature film industry by Universal Filmed Entertainment Group Chairman Donna Langley. Global Talent Development & Inclusion (GTDI) launched supporting Universal Pictures, Focus Features and DreamWorks Animation. In 2020, GTDI's purview expanded to include Universal Studio Group (Universal Television, Universal Cable Productions, Universal Television Alternative Studio, NBCUniversal International Studio) and NBCUniversal Television & Streaming (NBC, USA, SYFY, Bravo, Oxygen, E!, Universal Kids, Peacock and Fandango/Rotten Tomatoes). Building upon NBCUniversal's commitment to a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture, GTDI partners with Production and Human Resources departments across the Company's content ecosystem to create strategies that align with its mission to cultivate, amplify, attract and retain an inclusive talent pool on-screen, behind the camera, and within the NBCUniversal's workforce.

Responsibilities:

TALENT ENGAGEMENT
• Identify and draft DEI-related content to amplify to employees
• Identify potential production partners and thought leaders for speaking engagements; design and oversee ''watercooler moments'' for post-event discussions
• Identify production talent including but not limited to writers, directors, below-the-line, animation, alternative TV, late-night TV, live-theatricals, on-camera and voice talent
• Identify talent participating in GTDI initiatives with a duration of less than a year
• Partner with respective HR leaders providing insights and/or recommendations for appropriate production sensitivities that might arise on set or within content
• Evaluate content for DEI sensitivities including but not limited to scripts, cuts, artwork, marketing material; focus heavily in the area of alternative television.
• Consult with stakeholders on their DEI efforts
• Design and implement initiatives for below-the line training, on-camera showcase, and for alternative TV directors and/or producers
• Contribute to and maintain database entries of all talent participating in short-term efforts
• Provide mid-year metrics for on-camera and voice talent to corporate diversity and for annual reporting to Universal, Focus and DreamWorks Animation Film executives
OUTREACH
• Establish relationships with NBCU partners such as Rotten Tomatoes/Fandango, Human Resources, Talent Lab, Campus Programs, Corporate DEI, Corporate Social Responsibility, NBCUnites, ERGs, and internal affinity groups, etc., through regular meetings making them aware of GTDI strategies; keeping GTDI abreast of events and partnership opportunities
• Launch proactive introductions for business leaders to internal diverse workforce talent
• Socialize early career outreach throughout NBCU and launch customized events targeting internal workforce and production
• Contribute/maintain candidate entries for workforce talent database
• Lead engagement on existing sponsorships; Assess and provide recommendations for all incoming sponsorship requests
• Coordinate GTDI's participation in events, acting as primary liaison for all festival relationships and partnering with GDTI's Production & Creative and Marketing & Communications members as needed.
• Create strategies driving production and workforce talent to GTDI efforts (e.g. colleges, industry guilds, coalitions etc.) partnering with GDTI's Production & Creative and Marketing & Communications members as needed.
• Drive diverse below-the-line talent to database resources for consideration.

Qualifications/Requirements
Basic Qualificaitons:
• 10+ years industry experience – film, TV, agency, studio, production company, etc.
• Knowledge and experience in production, corporate sponsorships and film festival engagements
• Minimum 8 years of people management experience
• Bachelor's Degree
• Knowledge and familiarity of DEI trends
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and advanced PowerPoint as well as Adobe Photoshop and PDFs
• Must be available to work extended hours or travel if needed

Eligibility Requirements
• Must be willing to work in Universal City, CA
• Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States

• Demonstrates flexibility, adaptability and creativity to excel in a constantly evolving department
• Proactive and resourceful problem-solver with ability to work calmly under pressure
• Ability to work with and maintain confidential information
