Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Supports multiple facets of compensation across Universal Destinations & Experiences. Conducts analytics related to assessment, design, delivery and ongoing evaluation of compensation in support of business operational needs and special projects.
• Assist with assessment of compensation relative to the external market and to internal peers to support all types of pay analysis and recommendations. Develop and maintain departmental tools and work amongst complex spreadsheets used for compensation processes, analysis and recommendations
• Supports many aspects of ad hoc projects including data collection, costing scenarios, modeling, analytics and summaries. Provide analysis to assess effectiveness and quality of compensation plans and programs
• Participate in, complete and organize data from market compensation surveys to assist with ongoing competitive analyses and pay program/structure assessments. Research competitive pay levels / best practices internally and externally and apply key findings. Evaluate market and economic trends to recommend adjustments to compensation.
• Assist with preparation of compensation-related communication materials. Provide explanation of compensation programs. Understand and be comfortable communicating compensation to all levels of the organization. Actively participate in and represent Compensation in business, HR and functional partner meetings to ensure close understanding of business objectives and workforce needs.
• Assist in the design and maintenance of the job catalog and salary structure. Engage in activities to promote data accuracy in data systems.
• Supports year-end compensation planning for merit, bonus and/or long-term incentives. Assist with creating / adjusting and splitting files, data aggregation, data audits, producing summaries and statements, modifying and maintaining incentive plan documentation and partnering with HR, Finance, Payroll partners for administration.
• Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 3+ years' experience working in a Human Resources or Finance environment with two years of that time with direct compensation analysis preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Characteristics:
• Strong Excel skills are vital
• A functional knowledge of statistics as applied in a business environment is essential
• Must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent oral and written communication/interpersonal skills are necessary
• Must be a self-directed, organized, detail-oriented, results-driven individual, with a commitment to quality and accuracy
• Ability to keep confidentiality when handling sensitive information
• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work in a high-pressure work environment is essential
• Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation preferred

Additional Requirements:
• Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
