Job Description

Summary

This person specializes in current and emerging California and National Americans with Disabilities Act laws and how they apply to the Park and CityWalk. This position coordinates, audits, and facilitates ADA compliance as required by California Building Code, ADA, Universal Parks & Resorts and the Department Of Justice through specific writing, modifying and distribution of documents, training classes, field audits and incident analysis. Additionally, the role oversees accessibility for both Guests and Team Members by developing, maintaining, and promoting programs to assist people of all needs.

Responsibilities
• Review New Development for ADA compliance. Point of contact for Creative, Tech Services and other Park and CityWalk groups.
• Provide ADA compliance training to New Hires, new management and other Guest-facing operating groups.
• Provide new and innovative systems to improve ADA compliance and accessibility.
• Writes documentation needed for the department.
• Maintains complete confidentiality on all claim-related matters and incidents as well as department information.
• Develops and implements programs to improve client and employee satisfaction. Ensure appropriate and timely investigation and responses to Guest and employee concerns.
• Oversee periodic ADA auditing of Park and CityWalk to ensure compliance sustainability.
• Partner with Tech Services, Creative, Park and CityWalk Operating departments, and other contracted vendors.
• Project management -plan, execute, monitor, and complete projects on time and within scope.
• Identify barriers to accessibility, analyze the root cause, and provide or recommend effective solutions.
• Partner with the organization to design, implement, and oversee an accessibility strategy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• High school education required.
• Minimum 1-2 years' guest service experience in a theme park or related environment.
• Associate's degree (AA) from two-year college/technical school or equivalent experience required. Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
• ADA Certified
• Skilled in training and guiding other team members on accessibility best practices.
• Proven ability to clearly articulate accessibility requirements, provide feedback, and promote understanding and awareness across the organization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

• Degree in Business or related field.
• Knowledge of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) laws and regulations, CBC, experience in ADA compliance
• Fluent in American Sign Language, certified National Interpreter Certification (NIC) or any other approved certification
• The ability and willingness to stay updated with the latest guidelines, tools, and best practices is crucial.
• Required On-Site: This position is required to be performed full-time from an NBCUniversal-designated worksite.
