Job Description
Responsibilities

HR Programs
• Be an effective advisor for local staff in alignment with the HR Director, acting as a sounding board and providing advisory using sound judgement and giving consideration to consistency and impact across multiple different businesses
• Responsible for HR projects, programs and initiatives across all businesses and ensures compliance as well as delivers quick solutions to fit local needs
• Provides in country expertise, is forward thinking as well as operational for the full scope of HR functions including employee relations/legislation, talent acquisition/talent branding, compensation/reward philosophy and employee engagement.
• Enhance and deliver the hire to onboarding to ramp up experience, creating 'I've made it!' moments for incoming talent

Talent Management & Acquisition
• Deliver the local talent management programs like Talent Review and Performance conversation process, by coaching team leaders providing advice and support, contributing to building a culture of continuous development and feedback
• Be an ambassador to the NBCUniversal brand and proactively create brand awareness guided by the employee value proposition, enhancing online presence and attending networking and career events
• Support the delivery of the localized Internship program in partnership with the Talent Acquisition Lead and aligned to International guidelines
• Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions

Compensation and Benefits
• Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; obtaining and evaluating benefit contract bids
• Implement C&B initiatives

Learning & Development
• Analyse training needs against local business strategy and employee skill gaps for the mid to long term, have a proactive role in defining and ensuring the delivery of training initiatives
• Active support of talent development and employee engagement projects. Ensure the implementation of the Annual Talent review process

Employee Relations & Policies
• Support a culture of trust and open & honest communication. Train and coach managers and employees on the best practices and instil the companies' values upon them
• Being proactive and anticipate change, providing critical and timely input about consequences and implications of local law to all internal stakeholders
• Keep policies and programs updated against the changing employment relations landscape

Labour Conditions
• Advises, designs and implement local labour condition needs, assuring a safe and healthy work place for employees. Adhere to legislation and remain compliant

HR Transactional Activities
• See to a flawless execution of local payroll instruction in conjunction with the APAC Payroll team and HR administration activities e,g. HRIS updates

Additional Responsibilities
• Planning and execution of various employee experience events such as International Women's Day, Cares Day, Careers Month and Healthy Month etc.
• Responsible for training the HR Intern to develop their skills and performance in line with NBCUniversal's policies, strategies, values and key projects
• See to a flawless execution of monthly payroll across five business entities.
• Successful delivery, implementation and optimization of system roll outs from Domestic for our teams locally.
• Provide HR administrative support; including creating employment contracts, general letters and HR documentation, manage and coordinate the end-to-end onboarding / offboarding process including processing background checks.
• Risk, compliance and OH+S within HR including Workers Compensation case management, Injury Notification and Reporting
• Pulling ad hoc data lists and reports from our Payroll management system for yearly audits, analyzing information and identity trends in data
• Managing and actioning requests with the ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting deadlines to prioritize accordingly

Qualifications
• Degree level qualification or equivalent experience in Human Resources
• Strong knowledge of current employment laws and regulations and an interest in keeping the pulse of the changing IR/ER landscape
• HR experience within a dynamic international matrixed environment
• An undeniable love of Entertainment content (i.e. TV, Movies)
• Believe feedback is a gift and seek it regularly for continuous improvement
• A 'can do' mentality that can shift from acting hands-on to strategic thinking
• Ability to navigate through a complex, matrix business and provide the appropriate partnership and support to local stakeholders
• Demonstrable ability to understand and promote the linkage between business and operational priorities and HR activities
• Outstanding influencing skills with the ability to identify and translate key priorities
• Excellent relationship and communication skills, able to adapt between the cultural nuances of areas/businesses
• Ability to deal tactfully and confidently with internal and external customers and be a trusted source
• Forward thinking with passion and creativity, not afraid to challenge the status quo
• Foster an inclusive culture and ability to provide guidance and coaching to the direct report
