Your role?
As the Senior Global Mobility Specialist, you will administer ILM Sydney's immigration and global mobility programs, services and process delivery. Your role is critical in ensuring the company's international rules and regulations compliance for immigration, tax and relocation. Your role is essential in ensuring smooth transitions for employees relocating internationally and involves coordinating all aspects of expatriate assignments, including immigration, tax compliance, relocation logistics and keeping up with international rules and regulations. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to support the company's global talent strategy and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and policies.
What will you be doing?
Execute end-to-end processes for ILM Sydney's international assignments, including relocation and expatriate packages, visas, tax services. Partner with Disney Legal, Disney tax, and external vendors in-market to ensure compliance.
Maintain high-volume detailed case file for each Foreign Worker/traveler for aforementioned client groups and enable communication with partner stakeholders (TWDC HR/GM and Local HR, Talent Managers)
Analyze eligibility of candidates and work authorization documents and offer pre-assessment outlining best immigration and tax pathways, timeline, and risks.
Execute strategies for high-volume of Foreign Workers intakes and pre-assessment of best pathway for work authorization given candidate profile, job role, wage, and time available (to start date, expiry of current document, dependent needs, other contingencies including travel and health care requirements)
Mitigate risks associated with immigration and global mobility of international hires by navigating inbound US restrictions, border closures, country-specific requirements - and drawing individualized Global Mobility Plans.
Manage timelines and processes for intra-company transfers, temporary assignees, loan-outs, contractors, business travelers for aforementioned client groups.
Maintain global mobility policies and procedure documentation for the Sydney studios
Advise productions on international rules and regulations to ensure compliance for studios
Maintains global relationships with key stakeholders within Global Mobility and Immigration such as Global Mobility Managers for each region, HRBPs, Production Leaders and Finance, External Vendors (Fragomen, KPMG, etc)
To be a contributing member of this team, you will have a mix of these skills:
Advanced knowledge, and thorough understanding, of employment-based immigration programs, processes and policies along with understanding Disney Legal policy and procedure.
Navigate complex changes and updates to the global immigration landscape as they impact the company's compliance and ability to hire foreign nationals and travel for business.
Strong emphasis on client-centered approach with proactive, professional communication
Proficiency with Google apps, Microsoft Office and similar programs
Excellent attention to detail
Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills; the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Ability to provide innovative troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in a discreet, diplomatic, and professional manner
Ideally 5 yrs experience
Bachelor's Degree
Registered Migration Agent
A big bonus would be 3-5 yrs experience in the Production industry (demonstrated familiarity or thorough understanding of various roles associated within the Production industry, and various terms/terminology related to the Production industry)
