Position Summary
The HR Assistant role provides an exciting opportunity to work alongside ILM's Human Resources department to research, investigate, plan, and implement various ongoing and project-related responsibilities within a fast-paced working environment. The HR function at ILM is central to business operations, closely partnering with leadership to achieve consistently high standards across a broad spectrum of Human Resource Management.
Applicants must be currently residing in British Columbia, authorized to work in Canada, and able to provide proof of long-term eligibility (i.e. documentation of Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status).

What You'll Do
Coordinate day-to-day personnel changes and edits including using current systems to update information and communicate changes; Handle various employment agreement processes including end-to-end workflow and database updates, personnel recordkeeping, reporting and manager communication where needed; and coordinate weekly onboarding and offboarding business processes
Follow up with payroll, benefits, HRIS and accounting departments to ensure that requests are carried out and information is coordinated; Maintain electronic filing systems
Handle regular data audits across systems to ensure accuracy and data integrity
Assist with running HR-related events, communications, and programs; administer and coordinate service awards; Support scheduling needs of HR team internally and with Leaders/other departments; Lead special projects as assigned; Perform related duties as required
Understand industry and business in order to successfully conduct all areas of the role
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in an administrative support role will be an asset
Experience working in a high-paced and dynamic environment; Excellent computer skills, including familiarity with Google Suite and Microsoft applications;
Shown ability to learn electronic systems, programs and software quickly;
Strong analytical and organizational skills; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations; Ability to navigate competing priorities and strong self-directed work ethic
Ability to connect with all levels of employees and willingness to understand cultural differences
Proven track record to interact effectively within the department, across and outside the organization
Ability to work efficiently, effectively as part of a team, and independently where assigned.

The hiring range for this position in Vancouver, BC, CAN is C$43,300.00 - C$55,300.00 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other variable pay or benefits, may be offered dependent on the level and position offered.
