JOB DESCRIPTION

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Producer to join our London Bureau team. As a Producer, you will play a crucial role in covering breaking news stories, producing live reports, and delivering engaging content to our viewers. You will work with reporters to schedule interviews, obtain information, write scripts, build graphics, and deliver compelling live shots and packages. This position requires flexibility, adaptability, and a strong editorial sense. A natural curiosity about news is a must.

The Producer must be familiar and comfortable with operating in hostile environments. The job involves strenuous work and long hours. You must be adaptive and tolerant of changes and difficult situations. Completion of hostile environment training and prior experience working in a war zone is essential.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Collaborate with news crews and reporters to cover breaking news stories and live reports
• Produce live shots and packages in coordination with London-based reporters, camera crews, and editors
• Gather elements from our digital library, conduct interviews, and oversee b-roll shoots for live shots
• Pitch stories, conduct research, collect elements, write scripts, and supervise edits
• Travel on short notice to breaking news locations and coordinate live shots with other Fox Bureaus
• Draft pieces for FOX Digital

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 5+ years of experience in news production
• Willingness to travel extensively, often at short notice
• Strong editorial skills with excellent communication and writing abilities
• Completion of hostile environment training and prior experience working in a war zone is essential
• Flexibility, versatility, and excellent interpersonal skills are necessary for this role
• Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks effectively, and work under pressure
• Must be available to work various shifts including overnights, holidays, and weekends
