We are looking for a highly motivated, proactive and creative Associate Producer to join the team! As an Associate Producer you have keen editorial skills. You are an avid consumer of News media-from network, cable, and radio broadcasts, to print and online media. You are a pro-active, passionate and self-motivated individual. You are a team player that works well with diverse editorial staffs, guests, and technical teams.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Write conversational day-of scripts
• Pitch guest segment ideas with a clear media focus
• Identify news, select video and sound bites, oversee editing, conduct interviews and write stories for television and the internet
• Pitch stories daily
• Build graphics and lower thirds that help emphasize and enlighten the viewer
• Serve as backup line producer
• Handle guest segments by prepping talent, scripting lead-ins, writing questions and video

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• Bachelor's degree
• At least 2 years of television news experience
• Strong interest in how the media covers the news
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment, multitask, and prioritize on a daily basis-especially in breaking news situations
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Familiarity with working in a fast-paced news environment
