JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX News Media is looking for an experienced Executive Producer to join America Reports in NY! As Executive Producer, you are responsible for overseeing content for a two-hour news program. You work hand-in-hand with the hosts, the show team, and management to facilitate a successful production.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• Serve as the editorial point person, from initial story development through the live control room broadcast
• Frame compelling storylines and determine the best sound and elements for each segment
• Copy edit scripts throughout the live broadcast
• Work directly with the hosts and all production staff on show content
• Help coordinate special projects
• Evaluate potential guest segments
• Manage and mentor staff and monitor their development
• Conduct annual performance reviews
• Oversee staff calendar/backup roles

WHAT YOU WILL NEED
• 10+ years of experience producing news at a local station or network
• Knowledge of and experience in news
• 2+ years of experience as a Senior Producer in a professional live news environment
• Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related field preferred
• Strong technical skills and strong strategic thinking/decision-making skills
• Ability to execute live segments including breaking news
• Ability to work all hours and days as breaking news requires
• Ability to travel with anchors to shows on the road when required
• Ability to copy edit scripts for air
• Ability to handle daily script and segment deadline pressure
• Ability to react to breaking news with immediate programming ideas
• Exceptional editorial skills
• Ability to be a team player
• Broad knowledge of current events, politics, and pop culture

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $185,500.00-195,000.00 annually for New York City and Westchester County, NY. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
