Job Description
Distribution Operations is the gateway between production and consumption of The Walt Disney Company's entertainment content. The Distribution Operations team oversees mastering, quality control, technical transformation, and final product fulfillment to ensure the on-time and right the first-time delivery of episodic series and specials to Disney Streaming Services, third-party customers, and our global archive.

The Sr. Technical Operations Manager will focus on supporting the Executive Director, Distribution Operations in leading the planning and execution of strategic Mastering and Distribution Operations initiatives. This position requires proven experience in change management, preferably within a media organization, studio, or steaming service. Some of the key day-to-day tasks will include establishing process improvements for our Mastering workflows in order to increase scale, improve timelines, and evolve department.

Responsibilities:
• Must be skilled and capable of overseeing multi-million-dollar budgets and third party spend with post production and media services companies.
• Must understand television production and post production schedules and be capable of evaluating and clearly communicating current project/initiative statuses, risks, and processes to a variety of business and technical stakeholders in a fast paced, ever evolving environment.
• Establish and maintain vendor onboarding and technical work flow documentation for DMED Tech Mastering organization and establish Key Performance Metrics across the department.
• Ensure third party vendor checklists confirm accurate understanding of project assignments. and attend production kick-off meetings
• Identify any potential risks to planned delivery and localization timelines. Attend meetings with post production and studio output teams to track upcoming and inflight productions.
• Monitor progress of all productions for logistical and qualitative performance against global delivery plans. Identify areas of opportunity to improve timelines and processes.
• Coordinate reporting across Mastering department
• Some of the key day-to-day tasks will include inventory research, setting up order in our order management tool, curating source assets between mastering, territory offices, and vendors, communicating delivery ETAs to customers, clients, and internal business ops team, dealing with rejections, establishing a process SLA (Service Level Agreement), and managing vendor & supplier performance metrics.
• Leads cross-functional project teams or projects and serves as a best practice/quality resource
• Must be able to communicate deadlines and delivery expectations across functional teams for downstream workflow needs.
• Evaluate internal or external business issues and recommend best practices. Proposes innovative solutions to business challenges to senior executive team.

Basic Qualifications:
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are essential, as is the ability to advocate and negotiate diplomatically within a matrixed organization. Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interpret complex internal/external business challenges and make recommendations.
• Ability to work independently with guidance in only the most complex situations.
• Must understand television post production and delivery schedules.
• Metric, data analysis and financial acumen required.
• Must be able to create concise, executive-friendly presentations.
• Must have strong Microsoft Excel and Google Doc skills; Python experience a plus.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite, experience using MAC, PC, iOS, Android, Web based applications and services.
• Proven experience in change management, preferably within a media organization, studio, or steaming service
• Preferred requirements include: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of experience in digital media/content production and/or distribution experience at a Studio, Network, Streaming Platform, or Post House.

Required Education
• 7+ years of progressively complex related experience in the production, post, or digital distribution space.

This role is considered hybrid, which means the employee will work a portion of their time on-site from a Company designated location and the remainder of their time remotely.
