Job Description
PRODUCTION
What We Do
Whether it's driving a vision from start to finish or collaborating with teams to inspire and deliver projects of Epic quality, Epic's production teams take pride in consistently delivering world-class products and experiences.
What You'll Do
We are looking for an experienced game producer to join our Rocket League team. In this position you'll partner with development leads to drive processes, deliver results, and unblock your team to do their best work. Ideal candidates excel in organization, have exceptional social skills, and are experts at managing schedules of complex projects. If you're passionate about Rocket League and believe you have something to offer, we want to hear from you!
In this role, you will
• Facilitate Development Operations - Work on one or more feature teams and ensure timely delivery to meet our goals, deadlines, and milestones. Schedule relevant meetings, facilitate reviews, track progress in JIRA, oversee capacity planning, and capture and drive action items and next steps for your team(s).
• Build and Facilitate the Schedule - Scope and schedule the desired work for the team. Maintain project plans, schedules, and roadmap. Consider dependencies across multiple development teams to ensure successful deliveries.
• Create data-driven artifacts: Build dashboards and visual reports that provide transparency into progress, identify risks, and help drive decision-making for stakeholders and leadership.
• Proactively Seek Resolutions - Strong ability to identify problems, and propose solutions, for your team BEFORE they become roadblocks. Own the outcome of your area, and never wait to see if someone else will clear your path.
• Be a Flexible Multitasker - Ability to handle multiple large production needs within your development team(s). Understand how to identify and break down prioritizations, and keep up strong communication across multiple outlets: email, Slack, meetings, and documentation.
• Be the Center of Communication - Act as the connective tissue between teams, leads, and stakeholders-sharing clear status updates, surfacing risks early, and ensuring high visibility into development pipelines and priorities.
• Support all of your team's production needs including, but not limited to, planning; scheduling; task tracking; and bug triage.
What we're looking for
• 4+ Years experience working in a production role, managing cross-functional teams in the creation and delivery of complex projects.
• Deep understanding of game development, software development process, and project management practices.
• Familiarity with lightweight, scalable production systems that empower teams without introducing unnecessary overhead
• Demonstrated technical aptitude; Strong preference to applicants with game development experience.
• Experience in an environment where you had to exhibit amazing problem-solving skills daily, viewing each new problem as an opportunity for success.
• Self-starter, you approach challenges creatively and methodically, with a strong sense of ownership, organization, and attention to detail, seeing them through to final resolution.
• Have the ability to communicate with varying levels of stakeholders, within your team and throughout the company.
• Ability to drive high velocity, high impact development cycles, balancing out short-term needs and long-term vision.
• Ability to adapt and be effective in ambiguous situations within a highly dynamic environment.
• You're passionate, solutions-focused, and innovative. These traits equal success at Epic and influence everything we do.
