We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Technical Director with a focus on AI/ML to oversee our in-game recommendation and matchmaking products. Reporting to our Technical Director of AI/ML, the successful candidate will have a technical background in machine learning, artificial intelligence, and gaming, and will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of AI/ML strategies in our gaming products.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage a team of Machine Learning Engineers to develop and implement AI/ML algorithms for in-game recommendation and matchmaking systems.

2. Drive the development and execution of AI/ML strategies to enhance game performance and user experience.

3. Collaborate with the product management team to understand product requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

4. Research and implement new AI/ML technologies to stay ahead of market trends and maintain competitive advantage.

5. Provide technical expertise and guidance in the field of AI/ML to the team.

6. Oversee the design and deployment of machine learning models.

7. Establish rigorous testing and validation processes to ensure accuracy and reliability of AI/ML models.

8. Work closely with other teams to integrate AI/ML strategies into broader product development.

9. Provide regular reports and updates on projects and products progress to senior management.

Qualifications:
• 6+ years of experience with 3+ years of people management experience

2. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, AI, or related field.

3. Experience with a leadership role within AI/ML, particularly in the gaming industry.

4. Experience with machine learning techniques and algorithms.

5. Experience with AI/ML tools and frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.

6. Ability to work well in a cross functional team .

7. Strong knowledge of data structures, data modelling, and software architecture.

8. Experience with cloud services like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location. EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES
• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria): º $133,400 - $193,200 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
