Job Description

Our passion has taken us from imagining dogfighter pilots in Star Wars™: Squadrons to re-creating Isaac Clarke onboard the Ishimura in Dead Space™.

Currently, we're working on two exciting projects, an original Iron Man™ action-adventure game and what's coming next for Battlefield™.

Motive is looking for a Technical Artist to join the Battlefield team. You will report to the Technical Art Director.

Responsabilities:
• Collaborate with art and engineering stakeholders to define, create, document,
and manage the project's art tools and workflows.
• Understand the art creation process and enhance efficiency and quality
through process modifications or tool creation.
• Troubleshoot technical issues with the art team, both in the DCC packages and
in the game engine.
• Participate in art asset and level reviews, with an eye towards identifying
technical concerns and risks.
• Monitor, analyse, report and provide guidance on game performance and
memory usage.
• Maintain and facilitate cross-discipline communication on technical matters.
• Continue to adapt and learn new techniques and processes.
• Promote and build an inclusive work environment.

Qualifications:
• Prior experience as a Technical or 3D Artist within the games industry;
• Experience of a full development cycle of AAA games is an asset.
• Solid knowledge of 3D and 2D content creation software (such as Maya,
Substance, ZBrush)
• Experience with asset integrations into a game engine.
• Aptitude for self-directed learning of new technologies and processes.
• Experience writing scripts/tools in Python, C# or C++ is an asset.
• Understanding of modern lighting and rendering techniques is an asset.
• Empathy for addressing the problems of others and a respect for their time and
• Ability to receive and share constructive criticism.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills programmers, and designers.
