The Tools and Technology Team within Creative Technologies is looking for accomplished people to help us fulfill our mission of providing creative tools and workflows that allow EA to lead the industry in content quality. Our group strives to build an ecosystem of modular components that are efficient, adjustable to trends, and allow for quick iteration of any artistic idea into reality. We partner with a global group of extraordinary creatives, fueled by imagination and a unified passion for creating amazing content and experiences.

The challenge ahead:

As a Software Engineer on the team, you will help lead the effort to deliver next-generation tools for sharing and interoperability. The Tools and Technology team partners with Technical Artists across the company, with whom we collaborate to provide technology that brings art for modern games to life. As a developer on the team, your job will be to write software and build technologies that help our partner teams be more efficient, with an eye towards common, scalable solutions that work across all groups and titles. You will report to a team Development Director.

Day to day you will...
• Solve complex, systematic problems in the domain of art tools, pipelines and workflows
• Work with game team customers to develop and deliver user-friendly tools, efficient pipelines, and optimal workflows that aid in the development and iteration of game content
• Use creative and pioneering work to grow EA's technologies
• Provide help and support to our users across EA

You are/you have…
• Expertise in C# and WPF
• 5+ years of experience in tool development
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent training and hands-on experience

Bonus if you have…
• Understanding of build pipelines
• Experience in unit-testing and automation

BASE SALARY RANGES
• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
º $93,700 - $153,900 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
