The Secure Product Engineering & Anti-Cheat Response organization ensures that all EA products are developed with security and gameplay integrity as a top priority. We partner with platform development teams and game studios to ensure that our players can enjoy playing games securely and fairly.

We are looking for a Security Architect to guide the security posture of user-generated experience services, tools and games throughout the development lifecycle. You will partner with development teams to help them make the best design decisions. You will find and drive remediation of security and gameplay integrity issues at scale. You will report to the Senior Manager of the Security Architecture & Design team.

Responsibilities
• You will lead complex design assessments on EA user generated experience (UGX) products hosted in the Cloud and running on PC, web, mobile, and consoles, identifying and driving the remediation of security and gameplay integrity issues.
• You will develop a broad and deep technical understanding of EA's UGX related products, services and architectures, using that understanding to guide your reviews and recommendations.
• You will translate security and gameplay integrity design principles into requirements that can be understood and repeatedly applied by partner development teams.
• You will recognize repeat issue patterns across our games and services, and partner with EA Security, Studio and Platform teams and their leadership, to solve these at scale.
• You will identify and distill external research, influencing how EA identifies and mitigates emergent security and gameplay integrity issues.
• You will develop and deliver educational materials to raise security IQ across EA

Qualifications
• 5 Years Experience designing, recommending and reviewing security controls for complex applications.
• Game industry experience, preferably with experience handling user-generated experiences
• Expertise in multiple of the following domains: Game Security, User-Generated Experience, Game Modding, Anti-Cheat, Mobile Architecture, Networking, OS Internals, Cloud Architecture, Web Frameworks, Identity and Access Management, DevSecOps, Cryptography.
• Experience with vulnerability scoring frameworks and threat modeling methodologies.
• Experience delivering security or gaming-related conference talks or executive-level presentations.
• Experience with Python preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written English skills.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the range and benefits for your specific location.

Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES
• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):

º $161,100 - $239,700 USD Annually
• New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):

º $142,900 - $239,700 USD Annually
• Jersey City, NJ :

º $187,400 - $239,700 USD Annually
• Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):

º $153,100 - $206,200 USD Annually
• Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):

º $142,900 - $230,000 USD Annually
• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):

º $133,400 - $193,200 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity. For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
