We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst to join our Connected Technology team that runs a centralized, always-on, automated messaging program that creates engagement across digital channels. The systems you will analyze include in-house data systems, 3rd party marketing/reporting platforms, and internal process workflows. You will report to the Senior Manager of Product Enablement. You will work with multiple team members and partners to understand and document use cases and translate them into actionable requirements for our engineering team. You'll use analytics, end-user inputs and technical knowledge to contribute to the enhancement of the products we're creating and the growth of our business. The position is hybrid at one of the following EA campuses: Redwood City, Seattle or Vancouver, BC.

Responsibilities
• Collaborate in the product/solution delivery lifecycle including product management, users, software engineers, partners, and leadership to understand and articulate needs. Document these as well-defined business, data, and product requirements.
• Convert these requirements into clear functional and non-functional specifications for the engineering team.
• Contribute to the creation of artifacts such as user stories, process flow diagrams, and functionality test plans.
• Lead requirements gathering sessions and review subsequent requirements documentation with engineering, users, and the product enablement team.
• Anticipate and communicate the potential risks and impacts of changes on systems, integrations, processes, users, UI/UX, and architecture, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the ecosystem and its potential transformations.
• Understand the objectives and value of proposed functionality to provide context, aiding the engineering team in developing solutions.
• Help with product backlog prioritization based on value and effect.
• Participate in data/process issue reviews.
• Work with UX/UI, product and developers to ensure that product functionality aligns with requirements and user expectations.
• Partner with internal/external teams to facilitate the collection and analysis of user feedback to identify areas for improvement.
• Conduct a project cost analysis, estimating expected costs and timing for the project.

Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in business analysis or a related field.
• Partner Engagement - Liaise with partners at all levels, understanding and translating their needs into actionable requirements.
• Requirements Management - Lead the development and management of clear, detailed requirements and functional specifications.
• Data-driven – Use data to guide requirements gathering.
• Process Improvement – Identify and recommend process improvements to increase effectiveness.
• Communication - Communicate with all involved in the product/solution delivery lifecycle. Uplevels complex system information and communicates ideas for both technical and non-technical audiences to gain understanding.
• Collaboration - Collaborate with all involved in the product/solution delivery lifecycle.
• Put People First - Demonstrate empathy and listen to customers and colleagues to understand their needs and challenges.

Skills
• Sound technical foundation, with the ability to understand complex technical concepts.
• Understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
• Experience writing user stories and capturing detailed product requirements.
• Data Analysis - Experience using data tools (i.e. Excel) to make sense of raw data and present meaningful observations (i.e. patterns, trends, summarization of findings).
• Knowledge of marketing-related software and tools, such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, SQL, API, JIRA / Confluence (or similar project management and collaboration platforms).
• Prior experience working with digital marketers, solutions consultants, product managers and engineers.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the range and benefits for your specific location. EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES
• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):

º $103,200 - $145,600 USD Annually
• Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):

º $92,600 - $135,600 USD Annually
• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):

º $89,300 - $123,000 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity. For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
