We're looking for an experienced engineer to be part of the Criterion's core systems team. You will report to a Lead Engineer and daily you will work in C++ to cover our client, dedicated server and content pipeline tools. You will participate in implementation of low-level features in the engine and work with EA central tech team to integrate new ones. This could include memory management, threading, data streaming, game networking, performance profiling and optimization. Your team will be also involved with the automated systems test process and post-launch support of our titles ensuring that the experiences we create are delivered safely to our players.

Responsibilities
• You will become part of the Need for Speed core systems team to help deliver expected level of performance and stability using EA's proprietary technology
• Work with production and design to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs in collaboration with the team and technical leadership
• Design and implement new features in the engine for both programmers and content creators
• Participate in integration of newer versions of EA's proprietary tech and features
• Collaborate with other programming teams to address stability or performance issues with the engine
• Perform performance/memory profiling and optimization of a title on different platforms
• Communicate with EA Central Tech to manage engine development roadmap

Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in C++ software development
• Experience shipping titles (consoles and PC) as engine programmer
• Experience with low-level systems development such as memory management, threading, data streaming in real-time applications, 3d graphics, networking
• Proficiency in maintaining large systems
• Experience with First Party APIs
• Skills debugging distributed real-time applications
