Quality Designer - Frostbite

The Frostbite Quality Designer will oversee multiple areas to ensure the software meets our players expectations, which includes the following: setting and aligning on test strategies and goals, monitoring test coverage and evaluating the quality of targeted test items. You will be the organizational expert in software testing, the voice of quality for an assigned feature, area or project. Reporting to the QA Development Director, you will work with cutting edge technology and teams of industry experts committed to enhance the user experience.
Responsibilities:
• You will create test strategies by cross-referencing all methods, coordinating with partners on refining and adapting to achieve Release acceptance criteria.
• You will oversee the test execution, establish the project indicators and metrics, and analyze qualitative implementation.
• You will develop partnerships with members of development and product, partners. Improving and driving new strategies to meet high-level quality goals of the team.
• You will find opportunities to improve the team's methodologies, processes, and workflows. Lead programs to implement those improvements, reduce cross-project risks and collaborate to produce group-wide quality enhancements.
• You will establish and track goals, using data to measure the effectiveness and make informed decisions.
Required Skills and Experience
• 5+ years of relevant experience -entertainment software; game development
• Experience in data-driven product design, quality assurance strategies and process management.
• Proficiency in development planning and defect tracking tools (e.g. Jira)
Nice-To-Haves
• Experience with game engines
• Basic proficiency with data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, Google Analytics
• Understanding of version control, build systems, continuous integration, unit tests, automated functional tests, and testing frameworks
BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.
EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.
BASE SALARY RANGES
• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
º $63,350 - $98,800 CAN Annually
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
