Creative & Development is an organization within the Central Technology Organization. CDT partners with studios to build creative solutions for our game makers and our players. The diverse Player & Quality Insights team focuses on understanding player behavior and designing player feedback events across our entire portfolio of games, to help game teams develop the games and experiences our players want to play. We are a player-inspired team where every major decision starts with who we make games for.
Reporting to a Development Manager as a QA Architect, you will partner with peers located in our Madrid and Bucharest locations, and remote workers. You will contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration. You will work with individuals who have different specialities and areas of focus - with the combined goal of increasing game quality. You will contribute towards the creation of qualitative guidelines and providing guidance to test teams on how to accomplish them. You will keep up-to-date in developing areas of game quality, such as game accessibility and user generated content.
The Role:
• Using guidelines – seek opportunities in software for improved experiential quality and accessibility, across EA games and live services
• Display passion and knowledge of game quality, such as game accessibility, and be an ambassador on the topic internally
• Contribute to and help implement EA's game quality strategy with partner teams
• Maintain strong partnerships with game studios, supporting their development needs and looking for opportunities to continually improve
• Promote knowledge of accessible design practices
Required Qualifications:
• 3+ years experience as in Quality Verification, Quality Design, or an equivalent Accessible Game Design role
• Familiarity with Xbox Accessibility Guidelines (XAG), Xbox Accessibility Feature Tags and PlayStation Accessibility Tags (information is available online)
• In-depth knowledge of game development practices
• In-depth knowledge of current, and ability to anticipate future industry standards
• Onboard and explain applicable accessibility insights to development teams
• Help to translate player expectations into actions
• Direct meetings
• Operate autonomously, requiring little oversight
