Job Description

Master Thesis - Open Application

We are looking for Master Thesis students to work on our team and go deep in any of a wide range of problem spaces.

For this current hiring cycle, we are looking for you who is interested in exploring any of the following subjects:
• Gameplay - Develop immersive gameplay mechanics: Leverage Frostbite's advanced physics and dynamic interactions to explore new concepts in player engagement and game design mechanics.
• Rendering - Push graphical boundaries: Utilize Frostbite's high-fidelity rendering capabilities to innovate in real-time graphics, exploring areas like ray tracing and complex lighting models.
• AI / Machine Learning - Advance NPC intelligence: Apply AI and machine learning to enhance NPC behaviors, creating adaptive and realistic interactions within game environments.
• Core Systems / Optimizations - Enhance engine efficiency: Focus on optimizing core systems like multithreading and hardware utilization to improve game performance across diverse platforms.
• Productivity Tools - Streamline development processes: Investigate how Frostbite's suite of tools can be refined or expanded to boost development efficiency and creativity in game production.

What We Look For

We are looking for students with a background in computer science or similar - maybe you major in something else, but you are probably still interested in the programming side of things and you have an interest in working in games. Experience in Unity, Unreal, Maya, or Houdini will also improve your merits as well as fluency in C++ or C# depending on topic.

This internship is unpaid and temporary employment. It needs to be associated with a university education or any other type of education that has an internship period planned into the education plan, for example, LiA.
