The Frostbite Content Framework team is working on the data management system and game asset processing used by thousands of users.
Some examples of what we work with are:
• The system that provides on-disk data to our editor
• The pipeline for creating game-ready data from raw or source data
• A caching system for built data to increase efficiency
• A service for On-demand loading of large game data
As a master's thesis student, you will collaborate with the development team to investigate and implement optimizations to the pipeline. It is a 6 months internship, starting in January 2025.
Responsibilities
• You will investigate and prototype how to improve the pipeline system performance.
• You will design and implement code for algorithms, pipelines or applications.
• You will review designs, implementations and results with other software engineers.
• You will report to the engineering manager, attend team meetings, present progress in an Agile environment.
Qualifications
• You are pursuing a MsC. in Computer Science, or a related field in the Stockholm area.
• 2+ years of experience with C++ programming, data-guided design, and software architecture
• You understand software quality processes or test automation.
Desirable Experience
• Experience with C#/Web services.
• Experience with file system and content pipeline.
This internship is unpaid and temporary employment. It needs to be associated with a university education or any other type of education that has an internship period planned into the education plan, for example LiA. We are not able to provide relocation services for this role, we will only consider candidates already residing in Sweden.
