Job Description

We're looking for a Knowledge Engineer to create foundational aspects of our content ecosystem that support personalized player experiences across our portfolio of games and channels.

Responsibilities:
• The Knowledge Engineer will guide domain model and taxonomy development for content objects and related entities in the EA ecosystem
• They will work as part of a small team of information science professionals, including ontologists, taxonomists, content modelers, product and project managers
• They will work with partners to understand information needs
• They will work with system owners to develop data sourcing agreements
• They will transform data to meet user experience requirements
• They will contribute to our meta data strategy for all content types, models and pipelines
• The Knowledge Engineer will work with teams to ensure their content conforms to standards and that content pipelines can be substantially automated
• The Knowledge Engineer will work with data and user experience architects to align content and data science models to promote personalization throughout the EA portfolio of games and channels

Requirements:
• 5+ years as a working ontologist or knowledge engineer
• Bachelor's degree in a related field, Information Sciences
• Experience designing successful information architectures for large-scale systems
• Experience developing ontologies and taxonomies for different knowledge domains
• Experience in design thinking and the impacts this can have on user experience
• Experience developing data transformations and projections
• Technical proficiency with standards-based knowledge engineering tools (ie. SQL, SPARQL, SHACL, OWL, RDF)
• Cultivate relationships quickly and make a difference without direct authority
