The Studio

Electronic Arts' Firemonkeys Studio in Melbourne, Australia is highly regarded throughout the industry as a leading mobile game studio. We release new meaningful updates on a regular basis for games such as Real Racing 3, The Sims FreePlay, Need for Speed, and The Sims Mobile.

The Role

We're looking for a highly talented and dedicated Experience Designer who thrives in a live service environment. In this diverse role, you will design, build and implement our mobile games user interfaces, from initial flows and wireframes, through to prototypes and final in game layouts in addition to animations and effects.

Responsibilities
• Create and produce artwork in accordance with the direction of the Art Lead, Designer and Producer.
• Design and implement an aesthetically appealing, innovative and engaging user-experience.
• Work closely with designers and programmers to implement and problem solve designs.
• Work within a small, motivated team and communicate effectively.
• Work within an existing and ongoing UI design with graphical and technical limitations.
• Report status of the project to all key stakeholders across studio functions including Studio Leadership, Art, Design, Engineering, and QA.

Skills and Experience
• Videogame and/or relatable UI experience within Web or Digital
• Mobile UI experience is highly desirable
• A strong design portfolio
• Experience with Balsamiq, Maya, After Effects, Illustrator, Proto.io, and Photoshop
• Ability to learn in-house UI development tools
• A passion for video games and the entertainment industry will help!
